Pacific Coast Highway (State Route 1) | California

This stunning 656-mile drive follows practically the entire coastline of California. While one of the most beautiful, it is also one of the most heavily trafficked stretches of pavement in the world. It’s an easy ride due to slower than average speed limits cutting through small towns and big cities. Don’t feel like you have to tackle the entire 656 miles at one time. Even a short drive is worth your while. Make sure you allow enough time to fully enjoy these spectacular views. There are plenty of dedicated areas to pull-off and take it all in.
